Adelaide International Airport is with well over 7 million passengers a year, the fifth busiest airport in Australia. A new terminal constructed in 2005 has greatly improved passenger convenience at Adelaide Airport and it has been voted the worldâ€™s second best international airport in the category up to 15 million passengers. The new terminal is a combined domestic and international terminal and can handle the Airbus A380 SuperJumbo.
Adelaide International Airport is well connected to other airports in Australia and a few international destinations can be reached as well from Adelaide. AirAsia and Malaysia Airlines fly to Kuala Lumpur, Singapore Airlines to Singapore and Cathay Pacific to Hong Kong.

Transport to and from Adelaide to the airport International
The Adelaide International Airport is located about 7 km west of the city center and near the famous West Beach. There are several public transport options as well as taxi's available. Taxi's into the city would cost around $20 and are available just outside the terminal. There is a public JetBus, line J1/J2 which departs throughout the day every 15 min. A ticket costs $5 during peak hours and the bus ride will take up to half an hour to the city center. Alternatively you can take the Skylink Adelaide shuttle bus which runs between the Central Business District and the airport, tickets can cost up to $8 so if you are not alone it may be easier and also cheaper to just take a taxi.
