AirAsia ground operations crew member Balraj Singh Bhall thought there was something amiss about the couple with the crying child at the check-in counter at the LCCT.
Recalling the incident from five years ago, Balraj said the girl, who was about five, was bawling non-stop and the “well-dressed Malaysian couple” were not doing anything to console her.
He became suspicious when they could not produce the child’s birth certificate, and called security.
Later, he learnt that he had foiled a human-trafficking attempt to Bangkok, Thailand.
