Garuda Indonesia opens direct flight to reach Wakatobi from Ambon

National flag carrier Garuda Indonesia officially became the first and only carrier to operate direct flights from Ambon, Maluku, to Baubau, Southeast Sulawesi, following the service's maiden flight on Wednesday.


The service is available twice a week on Wednesday and Sunday using an ATR 72-600 aircraft that can accommodate 70 passengers.


The GA 7648 flight departs from Ambon at 11:55 a.m. local time and arrives in Baubu at 12:45 p.m. Meanwhile, the GA 7649 flight will fly from Baubau at 1:15 p.m. and land in Ambon at 4 p.m.
