Scoot launches operations on Pekanbaru-Singapore route

Singapore Airline’s low-cost, long-haul subsidiary Scoot launched its inaugural flight from Pekanbaru in Riau to Singapore on Monday.

Airbus A320 aircraft with a capacity of 180 passengers will ply the route four times a week.

Currently, Scoot serves five destinations in Indonesia, namely Jakarta, Surabaya, Denpasar, Palembang and Pekanbaru.

A water cannon marked the arrival of the first Scoot airplane at Sultan Syarif Kasim II Pekanbaru Airport.
