Lion Air Group adds 20,330 seats for exodus

Lion Air, Batik Air and Wings Air have prepared 20,330 extra seats for domestic flights to accommodate the annual Idul Fitri exodus. The airline group will operate extra flights from June 6 to 30 as the period is predicted to be the peak of exodus season.


According to an official release, Lion Air will operate 62 flights with 11,718 seats this holiday season. Meanwhile, Batik Air will operate 35 flights with 6,020 seats and Wings Air 36 flights with 2,592 seats to accommodate exodus travelers.


Capt. Daniel Putut Kuncoro, managing director of Lion Air Group, along with the Civil Aviation Directorate General oversaw readiness checks at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport on Sunday. The checks included observing aircraft condition and pilots, cabin crew and ground handling readiness to adhere to standard operating procedures.
