Many things you need to prepare when you’re about to go traveling. It’s not only trip schedule and budget, but also your house’s safety. Traveling with family will be more joyful when you’ve prepared everything. The worries while leaving your house empty without good supervision will only give you worries which will disturb your vacation with family. Here are some tips how to secure your house while travelling :

Make sure all doors are locked

The main thing you need to do before you go traveling with family is making sure that all doors and windows locked. Do check over and over again to make sure that everything is safe. You can also add extra lock on fence gate. Put your house key into your bag or luggage safely. Don’t let that key lost or left.

Don’t hesitate to ask your neighbour for a help

You have a neighbour, aren’t you? You can ask your neighbour for a help to also supervise your house while you’re away for vacation. By telling your neighbour, you can check your house by sending them a text message or call routinely. Your neighbour can also tell a guest looking for you that you’re away for vacation and not at home.

Don’t forget to turn off your electronic devices

Before you go, make sure all your electronic devices are safe. Unplug the cable powers to avoid short circuit when you’re away traveling. It’s better to turn on your outside lamp to light your house and prevent some burglar coming in your house. Beside electricity, make sure also that your stove gas’ current stopped. Put some wet cloth or towel to cover the gas tube.

Put your valuables in safe place

Valuable things, important documents and jewelries need to be kept safely. If its necessary, prepare a luggage specifically to store your valuables. Don’t forget to lock it safely and put it in a locked wardrobe.

Make sure your house in a good condition

Before traveling, it’s better for you to check on all parts of your house first before leaving. Don’t let your house left unguarded while there are some holes on the roof or wall. Check on water tap also, don’t let your house flooded while you’re on traveling.
