Flight Safety

Safety is one thing highly prioritized in flight. For that in every flight before the aircraft actually fly, the cabin crew will explain and demonstrate safety information to passengers. In many countries the safety demo are even made as creative as possible so that the passengers are keen to take notice. In other words, as a passenger you should never ignore the safety demo. There is some information conveyed by the flight crew, among others:

Safety Belt

Safety belt is one of the important tools in aviation security. Safety belt will protect your body in case of shocks. The safety belt itself is made up of two kinds: special for kids and adults. You must use a safety belt when the lamp is used as a marker of the use of safety belts on. You should make sure that you can insert and remove the safety belt quickly. Because if there is an emergency condition, you will not be panic and get any trouble in removing or opening the safety belt.

Oxygen Mask

In general, air pressure in the aircraft cabin is different from the pressure in common room. The aircraft has a system that will regulate the air pressure in it so that no more than a predetermined limit. Each carrier provides the oxygen mask. The oxygen masks will automatically pop up if the air pressure in the aircraft exceeds the predetermined limit. If this happens, what you have to do is pull the oxygen mask and immediately put it on. You should be able to set it up less than fifteen seconds or you will just pass out if you can’t do it in time. Before you install an oxygen mask to help children or anyone who is on your side, you have to remember to make sure you've put your oxygen mask and breathe in it, and then you can help others.

Life Vest

Life jackets are usually placed under your seat. Cabin crew will explain how to use the life jackets. But the most important thing is you have to actually check whether the life jacket is really under your seat. See or feel with the hand to make sure that there is indeed life jacket under your seat. The life jacket should ideally consist of two sizes: specifically for children or infants and adults. If the plane is submerged in water, the light will automatically turn on. That means you have to prepare life jackets provided. But do not conflate life jackets in the cabin of the aircraft as it will be difficult for you to follow evacuation. Conflate it when you have approached the emergency door.

Safety Information Card

This card is a tutorial flight safety. With this card you will feel easier to understand the safety demo performed by the cabin crew. This card will also remind you with a demo that has been demonstrated. It is in the seat pouch in front of you.

Evacuation Door and Safety Raft Pathways

Each plane has an emergency exit as well as a safety raft. Cabin crew will explain to you the direction of the emergency exit and safety raft location. You will be directed how the evacuation path is. All you have to do is count the number of definite distance between your seat and the emergency exit. Calculate how many seats that you should have passed since the state of emergency might be dark. If the plane emits smoke, what you have to do is down on the floor and follow the light that is in the floor to get to the emergency exit. For your information, the aircraft emergency door is very heavy, about eighteen kilograms. The best way to open it is with your body leaning into the emergency door to get it open after push it with your hands and body.
